The match was called off by match referee A.A. Green (Sheffield) at 2:30pm because he considered that the ground conditions were "dangerous".
John Neal (Wrexham manager) said: "I thought the pitch was playable. There were one or two little patches of frozen ground, but no ice. I have seen many matches played in far worse conditions and I was very surprised by the referee's decision."
The decision was made in time to prevent the Oldham team from starting out on a wasted journey.
