Racecourse Ground
7:15pm kick-off

The match was called off on the morning of the game after local referee Gwilym Roberts slipped on a patch of ice in the goalmouth. It was a bitter blow for Wrexham who had employed the services Chester F.C. director Ken Jones, a local contractor, to try to get the game played.

With the scheduled Cheshire League match against Frickley Athletic on Saturday having already been postponed, Jones disc-harrowed the Racecourse surface mixing the snow with the mass of sand which had enabled the Liverpool F.A. Cup tie to take place. As such, Wrexham were able to stage their reserve match against Bangor City on the Monday evening.

Despite the best efforts of Jones, including working on the ground until midnight on the Tuesday, the referee ruled the pitch unplayable much to the disappointment of the Wrexham players and officials.
